Q:
Is it permissible for Du`ah (callers to Islam) to practice Da`wah (calling to Islam) in a place where Bid`ahs (innovations in religion) used to be practiced, such as the places of celebrating the Mawlid (the Prophet's birthday)?
Is it permissible to propagate virtue and prevent vice there?
A:
Celebrating the Mawlid is a rejected Bid`ah. However, there is no objection to using the place where the Mawlid used to be celebrated for the propagation of virtue and Da`wah.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.
